  • Ratification is the acceptance by a principal of an act done or supposedly done for the principal. A principal may ratify an act expressly or by conduct inconsistent with an intent to avoid responsibility for the act.

     

    [Ratification of part of an indivisible transaction is a ratification of the entire transaction.]

     

    [An act may be ratified only in the manner that original authority could have been granted.]
