Recognize and support programs that improve the level of legal education and lawyer standards

Encourage public service by lawyers and those involved with the justice system
The North Dakota Bar Foundation also administers the Interest on Lawyers Trust Accounts Program which:

Provides support for civil legal services for the poor

Public education about the law

Improvement in the administration of justice
Prior donations to the North Dakota Bar Foundation supported the following projects:

Education programs for high school students, including the Graduating Into an Adult World booklet, and the law-related education conference for teachers

Scholarships to the 3 highest ranking law students in the first year class at the UND School of Law

North Dakota Law Review

Public education about the constitution and judicial terms of office

ND Association of Legal Secretaries scholarship

ND Bar Foundation Professorship of Law stipend

Burdick Public Education Center in the new Federal Courthouse, Fargo, ND

Flood relief fund to help bar association members and to help provide legal assistance to persons impacted by the 1997 flood

ND Council of Abused Women

Numerous public education programs, like the First Amendment rights symposium sponsored by Bismarck State College; and Clay Jenkinson as Thomas Jefferson sponsored by the North Dakota Heritage Center.
